Celebrating 50 Years of Scientific breakthroughs and Impact, ICRISAT Hyderabad is hosting an international conference, “Transforming Drylands through Innovation”, from February 21st-23rd, 2023, at its headquarters in Hyderabad, India. ABSYZ at ICRISAT Hyderabad International Conference 2023!
ABSYZ will display its cutting-edge solutions at the ICRISAT Hyderabad, an international conference being hosted in Hyderabad, India from February 21st to 23rd, 2023. The Net Zero initiative raises awareness of Carbon emissions, Carbon footprints, and Carbon Credits. Carbon footprints quantify an individual’s greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon credits, used in emissions trading and offsetting, aim to reduce emissions by allowing companies to buy credits from initiatives that reduce greenhouse gasses.

With 60% of South Asia’s arable land and 70% of sub-Saharan Africa classified as dryland, the COVID-19 pandemic has only worsened the challenges.
To achieve the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and secure food and agriculture security, livelihoods, and natural resources, sustained efforts are needed to transform dryland agriculture. This is why ICRISAT, a global leader in agricultural science for 50 years, is marking its golden jubilee with a call for cooperation, partnerships, and innovation to impact millions of lives in the drylands positively.
