What Is SEO?

The practice of boosting the appearance of your website by ranking it at the top of search engine result pages is known as search engine optimization (SEO). When individuals are looking for similar information this is the most natural way to get people to visit your website.

For optimizing websites according to SEO, many factors are required to be considered, like keywords, page relevance, image alt-text, link building, strong technical optimization, content, and so much more.

How Search Engines Ranks Your Website:

In order to rank a website, search engines follow four steps:

Step 1: Crawling – Google uses robots for crawling websites

Step 2: Indexing – Google indexes all the websites according to niche categories.

Step 3: Relevance Calculation – Google calculates the relevancy based on SEO factors to rank the website.

Step 4: Ranking – Based on relevancy, Google ranks your website in SERPs according to the searched query (keyword).

When should you use SEO?

  • If you have long run business goal
  • If you want to establish your brand’s authority,

According to data from firstpage.com from 2022, ranking first produces a typical CTR of 39.6 percent. That’s about four times the CTR for second place, which is 18.4 percent, and nearly twice the CTR for third place, which is 10.1 percent.

What is PPC?

PPC (Pay Per Click) is related to paid advertising on SERPs, where you have to pay for each and every click. You can bid for particular keywords or services to get listed in the top positions. These ads are typically run through Google Ads or Bing Ads.

For optimizing your Ad to be placed on top of search engines, factors like quality score, keyword type, landing page optimization, bidding strategy, Ad copy relevance, dynamic metadata, and so much more come into play.

How Search Engines Ranks Your Ad:

In order to rank an Ad, search engines follow two steps:

Step 1: Quality Score – It is determined by the overall user experience and the presence of keyword relevancy and the landing page.

Step 2: Bid Level – Depends on the budget you bid on a keyword.

When should you use PPC?

  • If you are ready to take an expensive step
  • If you need instant results for a selected time period
  • If you want to run a quick seasonal offer sale
