Creating an Diverse and Inclusive Workplace
We understand the importance of gender diversity. Currently, the overall male-to-female ratio is 2:1. We recognize that achieving gender balance is important for fostering diverse perspectives and driving innovation within our organization. We are actively working on initiatives to attract, retain, and promote more women in our employee base. Our goal is to create a more equitable culture where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to our collective success.
Our efforts to promote gender equality extend to managerial roles, where 37% of our mentors are women. 27% of active projects in ABSYZ are also being led by women employees. These employees play the role of mentors and managers and serve as role models for younger members in the team.. Our diversity figures is a testament to our initiatives towards creating opportunities for women to advance into leadership positions and play a crucial role in our organization’s success
Several key processes within the organization that enable BAU transactions for the organization were developed by leaders from this group. ABSYZ has built its performance management system and created a goal library that helps track Key performance indicators for employees related to appraisals. The sustainability initiatives led by the CSR team as well as the reporting initiatives aimed to understand our carbon footprint and implement ways to reduce them are led by women employees.
We have a significant representation of women in leadership positions. Currently, 16% of the leadership roles are held by women. We continue to implement strategies such as Hi potential development for women and other such programs aimed at increasing the number of women in leadership, ensuring that our leadership team is as diverse as the talent within our workforce.
Internal Process Areas
Performance Management and Promotions:
All our internal processes, including performance management and promotions, are rigorously audited by the relevant teams to eliminate manager bias in ratings beyond performance parameters. This ensures that decisions are based on merit and performance, free from any gender-related inequality or bias.
Enablement sessionsÂ
We conduct regular enablement training sessions for all employees, including managers and mentors. This training equips our team with the knowledge and skills to recognize and avoid bias in their daily interactions and decision-making processes. It is part of the larger targeted program towards fostering a better connection between the mentors and employees.Â
Interview Process
Our interview panels undergo specific training to avoid gender bias, ensuring that they are equipped to conduct interviews impartially. This training covers aspects of unconscious bias and teaches interviewers how to ask fair, standardized questions that accurately assess a candidate’s capabilities. Additionally, all interviews are recorded and randomly audited to ensure compliance with our unbiased hiring protocols. These audits help us identify and correct any deviations from our established guidelines. This approach to our interview process guarantees that we attract and hire the best talent based solely on merit in line with our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Return to Workplace is a career initiative aimed towards women who have taken a break from their professional careers. Recognizing the challenges faced by women re-entering the workforce, this program provides them with opportunities to resume their careers in a supportive environment. We offer targeted training and development sessions to update their skills and knowledge, along with mentorship opportunities to help them integrate well within the company. This initiative is part of our broader commitment to support gender diversity and ensure that talented women can continue to contribute to the workforce after a career break.

Our primary focus was to conduct career planning sessions for high school students, emphasizing the importance of education, especially for girls. We highlighted how education leads to new opportunities and the significance of financial independence for all students, especially women. This humbling experience reinforced our commitment to supporting education and empowering young minds.
